Stronger Together

I have always been an advocate for female rights and I have been lucky enough to grow up in a supporting community where most of the people around me support and respect women-  unfortunately not every women gets this opportunity-

Although times have changed to a certain degree we are always waiting for more change- we should be treated & praised with the respect we deserve, have the right to earn more than a male in our career if we are chosen too and have our bodies valued in ways that are not humiliating or disrespectful.

Here are some quotes by women who have changed ways in which the world view females, some in which are still fighting for our rights!

Maya Angelou- American poet, singer and civil rights activist

" I am grateful to be women. I must of done something great in another life"

Malala Yousafzai - Demanded girls to have an education in Pakistan

"In Pakistan when women say they want independence, people think this means we don’t want to obey our fathers, brothers or husbands. But it does not mean that. It means we want to make decisions for ourselves. We want to be free to go to school or to go to work. Nowhere is it written in the Quran that a woman should be dependent on a man. The word has not come down from the heavens to tell us that every woman should listen to a man."

Emma Watson- American Actress

“Here’s what I think. Feminism is not here to dictate to you. It’s not prescriptive, it’s not dogmatic. All we are here to do is give you a choice.”

“We want to empower women to do exactly what they want, to be true to themselves, to have the opportunities to develop. Women should feel free. There is no typical feminist, there is nothing anywhere that says you have to meet a certain [set of] criteria.”
